Join United Way of North Idaho as an AmeriCorps VISTA Member!
United Way of North Idaho represents the state’s five northern counties and is based in Coeur d’Alene. We are currently seeking an articulate, outgoing individual to help us raise funds for our early childhood education initiatives and projects being developed from the regional ALICE Report. VISTA (Volunteer In Service To America) is a national program focused on addressing poverty and is currently celebrating its 50th year. The AmeriCorps VISTA program provides a living allowance that enables members to live like the community they serve. The allowance is based on poverty rates for a single individual, $11,880 per year and also includes an end of term education stipend of $5,810.
United Way of North Idaho’s office is in beautiful downtown Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, just two blocks from the lake and hiking. UWNI has been in existence since 1957 and provides resources and collaboration to improve lives in North Idaho. Our focus is on education, financial stability and health… the building blocks for a good quality of life.
