READY! for Kindergarten: Childcare & Preschool Modules

Registration in now CLOSED!

The READY! for Kindergarten childcare program was created for providers to use with children ages 2-5 at preschools or childcare facilities.

The program's age-appropriate targets and training share essential research-based information about how children learn and develop. READY! tools and activities are versatile and designed for guided play in a multi-age setting.

Lessons and activities focus on developing skills for school readiness in Language & Literacy, Math & Reasoning, and Social-Emotional Development.

The READY! program helps caregivers focus on the progression of interconnected skills each child needs to accumulate before he or she begins kindergarten. These READY! Age Level Targets are consistent with U.S. National Standards.

The 9-hour workshops are interactive lessons led by a trained facilitator. Participants are provided information regarding developmental milestons and learn "Play with a Purpose" skills and activities. The program fee of $100 includes material kits to help cultivate children's learning, valued at $400.

In order to receive the kits and IdahoSTARS training hours, providers must attend all day of the session selected.

Sessions are offered: Saturday, January 25 at 9 a.m. (all day) or Saturday, February 1 at 9 a.m. (all day)
